About Facet
Facet is written and maintained by Blake Gjerdingen for Kinra AI. It began on 2026-07-29 when the language of the cut stone emerged from work on Flow, a manufacturing coordination-truth product.
This repository is doctrine, not software. It publishes vocabulary, patterns,
case studies, boundaries, and graves. Product implementation remains in the
repository that owns it; site/ is only the static publisher for these pages.
Maturity
Section titled “Maturity”Facet is a working doctrine with one proving implementation.
Flow has exercised the evidence-to-reviewed-truth loop on a real account. Its operator works inside the mass with the Peer; its coordinator worksheet is built, deployed, and browser-verified; its discarded reconciliation client is an earned grave. On 2026-08-04 its coordinator and customer were each exposed to Flow. That first contact does not establish adoption, contribution, or customer value, and its planned customer edition has not entered the publication pipeline or been sent.
That distinction governs the writing:
- implemented and exercised mechanisms may be recorded as Flow findings;
- a reusable seam is named as a candidate after one stone pays for it;
- local thresholds and mechanisms remain local unless the reason itself is the doctrine; and
- a second implementation must challenge a candidate before it becomes universal.
The Flow case study keeps the current evidence boundary visible.
Publication Boundary
Section titled “Publication Boundary”Public case studies preserve real product facts while omitting customer identity, operational records, personal identifiers, credentials, and other account data. Flow’s private decision records are the source; the doctrine brings back only the reusable seam in facet vocabulary.
Corrections are preferable to a cleaner myth. If a product later disproves a claim, these pages should change and the superseded claim should remain legible where its cost matters.
Feedback
Section titled “Feedback”Questions, counterexamples, and corrections belong in the facet repository. A counterexample from a real implementation is more valuable than agreement in the abstract.

Section titled “License”Facet is open source under the Apache License 2.0. The license covers the doctrine and the publishing tooling in this repository. Product repositories retain their own terms.
